Captain Billy Genay answers the phone, runs the boat and puts the rods in your hands. That is the whole operation, and it is the reason the day feels less like a transaction and more like a friend taking you out on water he knows.
Paddlefish — spoonbill, if that is what you grew up calling them — are the specialty. First-timers, families and people who have not held a rod in twenty years all end up in the same boat, and it works.

Cold air off the water before sunrise. Rods set, coffee going, nobody in a hurry. Then a rod loads up and the whole boat turns at once.
You do not need experience, your own gear or a plan. You need a date and a phone call.
