What is on the boat

Billy runs the boat, the gear and the plan for the day. Ask him what is provided and what you should bring for your trip before you buy anything — that conversation takes two minutes and saves a lot of guessing.

How dates work

A requested date is a preference, not a reservation. Nothing is held until Billy confirms it with you directly — which is why the phone is still the fastest way to get an answer.

Questions

Everything people ask first.

I have never fished for paddlefish. Is that a problem?

No. Most people in the boat are doing it for the first time. Billy sets the gear, shows you what to watch for and talks you through the fight. You do not need to know anything before you arrive.

Can we bring children?

Families and young anglers are welcome. Tell Billy the ages when you call so he can plan the day, the timing and the gear around your group.

How do I pick a date?

Call Billy at (918) 231-7600, or send an availability request with a preferred and an alternate date. A requested date is a preference, not a reservation — nothing is held until Billy confirms it with you.

Is the price per person or per boat?

The rates shown come straight from Billy. Confirm the price unit and what it covers for your party size when you call — that is the fastest way to get an exact number for your group.

Is the evening trip always available?

No. The evening short trip runs only when Billy's other bookings allow it. Call to ask about the start time and the length for the day you have in mind.

Where do we meet?

The meeting point is arranged directly with Billy for your particular trip, because it depends on the lake and the conditions that day. He will give you the location and the time when he confirms.

What should we bring?

Weather-appropriate clothing and layers, sun protection, and food and drink for the time you will be out. Ask Billy what is provided on the boat before you shop for anything else.

Do I need a fishing license or a paddlefish permit?

Oklahoma licence and paddlefish permit requirements are set by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and can change. Check the current paddlefish regulations and licensing pages before your trip, and ask Billy if anything is unclear.

What happens if the weather turns?

Contact Billy about weather changes and rescheduling. He watches the lake conditions closely and will talk you through the options for your day.

Do we keep the fish?

Ask Billy about his current catch and release practice when you book. Legal requirements come from the state wildlife department and are separate from how Billy chooses to run his trips.
